Statement of Faith

The leadership of Interface Mentoring, commit ourselves without reservation to the statement of belief as herein set forth. We believe:

  1. The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments as originally given, are in their entirety the Word of God, without error in all that they declare and are the ultimate and final authority for Christian faith and life.  (II Timothy 3:16; Matthew 28:18)
  2. In one Triune God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (John 14:10, 20, 25)
  3. In the Virgin Birth and the Deity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is also Son of Man, with two distinct natures in one Person forever.  He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures.  (Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:31-32; I Corinthians 15:3)
  4. In the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ; that He ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High He is now our High Priest and Advocate.  (John 16:20; Hebrews 8:1)
  5. That man was created in the image of God; that he fell into sin through the first Adam.  Sin causes him to be separated from God and lost eternally.  (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23, 8:6)
  6. That salvation from eternal punishment and entrance into a state of everlasting fellowship with God is secured only by a personal belief that Christ bore our sins in His own body on the cross and by receiving of Christ, through the Person of the Holy Spirit, into one’s inner being.  This is to receive eternal life and to be sealed unto the Day of Redemption.  (Ephesians 1:13-14)
  7. That the Holy Spirit thus indwells all who receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.   He is responsible for the quickening from death into life, as well as for continuing of the work of sanctification in the believer.   (John 16:15; I Corinthians 2:13)
  8. That the church is the body of Christ, a spiritual organism of born-again believers who are called to be identified with Christ in baptism and to remember His death in the Lord’s Supper.  (John 3:13-17; I Corinthians 11:23-26)
  9. In the imminent, visible, and bodily return of Christ to this earth to set up His kingdom and to judge the world in righteousness.  (Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12)
  10. In the bodily resurrection of the dead; the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishment.  (John 5:29)
