Interface is a small-group mentoring program that challenges individuals to grow in faith and fruitfulness through the study of the Bible and personal growth lessons.
Participants are taught how to hear God’s voice, recognize His character in Scripture, and then challenged to apply His truth to their lives. Personal growth lessons are designed to help participants relate to God and others, foster personal healthy habits, and cultivate vibrant spiritual health.
Interface is for anyone who would like to hear God, know God, and follow God. Interface is designed for the individual who wants to study the Bible in-depth and is willing to be challenged to grow in fruit faith and fruitfulness.
Interface can be used by a small group of people, or by a church wanting to enrich their ministry through mentoring relationships.
The Interface Mentoring program enriches each believer at both a personal and corporate level.
Personal: Participants are taught to study scripture for themselves and personally communicate with God. During individual study time, each person studies a portion of scripture by first examining the assigned verses using basic homiletics. Then they answer the five “Interface” questions. These five questions help identify significant events, find different aspects of God’s character, recognize lessons/warnings, and then apply the lessons and/or heed the warnings. In addition, practical life-skill lessons, examine different areas of day-to-day life and encourage personal growth through application and action.
Corporate: Participants gather in small groups on a weekly basis to encourage each other through prayer, discussion, and scripture memorization. Groups ideally consist of one mentor and 3-4 apprentices. These small groups typically develop strong bonds by learning together, praying for one another and lovingly holding each other accountable.
Groups study the Bible chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse. In addition, participants study personal growth lessons about relating to God and others, developing personal healthy habits, and cultivating a vibrant spiritual life.

The Interface study is divided into two twelve-week semesters: The Fall semester begins the week before Labor day, and the Spring semester begins the week after New Year’s day.
Groups meet together for two hours each week. You can plan on personal study time to average 1-2 hours weekly.
There is no charge to participate in an Interface Bible study. We do, however, gratefully accept donations to help us continue to this ministry.
Yes! Many groups meet virtually with great success. We do not provide an online platform; however, groups may use whatever platform they can acquire.
A group leader is a mature follower of Jesus who wants to grow deeper spiritually as well as personally, and one who is willing to help others to do the same. If you are interested in leading a group, please contact us to discuss this further.
Yes! We have resources available for a church of any size to develop a strong mentoring program through the Interface Bible study.
The program works equally well in both large and small churches! The leadership of Interface Mentoring is committed to responding to inquiries from churches of any size.
The first step to begin Interface in your local church is simply to contact us. Use the link below to send us a message and start the conversation!
There are some important preliminary steps that have proven valuable to the smooth initiation of Interface in any local church.
Ministry Team – Ideally, a team of three adults is trained for each church that starts Interface. Applications for each individual member of the team will be sent upon request. The teams are made up of a Ministry Head, Associate Ministry Head, and Administrative Ministry Head.
Prayer – We expect those who come for the training have already been praying together regularly and have received the Lord’s confirmation regarding starting Interface in their church.
Support – The Ministry Team should have received the support of their Pastoral staff to start the Interface Mentoring program before coming to be trained.
An individual who has participated in an Interface Mentoring group through their local church may move to a location where there is no existing Interface Ministry, and yet they still wish to participate. There are two possibilities to meet this need:
- The person may join a virtual group (Zoom) and continue their participation in this way.
- The person may desire to start a group in their new location. If you wish to become a group leader, please contact us to discuss this possibility.
We schedule training sessions to equip interested individuals and ministry teams to start the Interface program in the Fall and Spring each year.
If you are interested, or have a team that is interested, please contact us for dates for our next scheduled training weekend.
